STACEY MADDOCK
Artist * Metalsmith

Stacey was born in California, raised in Texas and has lived in Calgary since 1993. She received her Bachelors in Art at the University of Texas in 1991.

"My designs are based on transforming pure geometric elements into kinetic sculptures that respond with sound or reflected light as the wearer moves. I like to work in fine detail, but not in perfection. It is important to be able to see the small imperfections, to see that the piece is handmade. Creating and making a unique piece, from conception to completion, is a highly personal endeavor. While I enjoy making each piece, I appreciate the finished product more. My desire is that the wearer will appreciate and enjoy my art as much as I do."
